BILL  CHAMBERLIN

Bill Chamberlin, age 85 of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, died peacefully with his daughter by his side on Tuesday, February 18, 2020.  He was born on August 10. 1934 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania one of two children of Samuel Jordan Chamberlin and Esther Virginia (Mowry) Chamberlin.

He was a mechanical engineer for 30 years; a “gentleman” farmer on the Chamberlin family homestead, located in Jefferson Hills; served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War; served on many community boards and on the Borough Council in Jefferson Hills.  Bill was a member of the Walnut Grove Assembly of God Church since it’s inception.  He enjoyed singing and was a soloist for his church in his younger years.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by a grandson, Billy Chamberlin.  He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Virginia Lee (Cole) Chamberlin; four children, Jack (Leslie) Chamberlin of Youngstown, Ohio, William (Colleen) Chamberlin of Annapolis, Maryland, Kathy Chamberlin of Fort Worth, Texas and Mark (Kristin) Chamberlin of Chicago, Illinois; nine grandchildren, Brian (Annmarie) Chamberlin, Erin (Michael) Williams, Emily (Blake) Mosley, Luke (Brittnay) Asper, Lance (Meredith) Asper, Kacie (Kyle) Paradise, Zac (Emily) Asper and Elise and Sophie Chamberlin; nine great grandchildren, Iris Chamberlin, Aria, Anya, Micah and Alea Williams, Alexander Chamberlin and Nathan, Oliver and Caroline Paradise and his sister, Helen (Ronald) Isger of Florida.

Family and friends will be received in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania 15025 (412-384-0350) on Friday, February 21, 2020 from 1 – 3 and 6 – 8 pm.  Bill’s funeral will be on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 10 am in Walnut Grove Assembly of God Church 44 Adams Avenue West Mifflin, Pennsylvania 15122. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH .  Pastor William Galus will officiate at the service.  Bill will be buried in Jefferson Memorial Park Cemetery in Pleasant Hills, Pennsylvania.
