Obituary

PATRICIA ANN (CAIN) TRIMBLE

Patricia “Patti” Trimble age 75 of Elizabeth Township, formerly of Clairton, Pennsylvania, passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2022, in her home surrounded by her family.  Patti was born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania on March 24, 1947, the youngest of four children of Herbert Elmer Cain and Loretta May (McConeghy) Cain.

In addition to her parents, Patti was preceded in death by a great grandson, Jonah Assenti and 2 of her siblings, Mary Jane Sanutelli and James Cain.  She is survived by her husband of 55 years, James Thomas “Jim” Trimble; 6 children, Mary and her husband, Mike Rothbauer of McKeesport, Theresa (Assenti) and her husband, Scott Miller of Elizabeth Township, Sherry and her husband, Jason Assenti of Forward Township, Kathy and her husband, Keith Palmer of Elizabeth Township, Patty and her husband, Greg Cox of Forward Township and James and his wife, Holly Trimble of Elizabeth Township; 13 grandchildren, Thomas (Brin), Randall (Valerie) and Rachael (Zach) Rothbauer, Nathaniel (Dana) and Jacob (Heidi) Assenti, Ethan and Corrinn Assenti, Hayley and Andrew “AJ” Palmer, Aaron and Anna Cox and Austin and Isaac Trimble; 6 great grandchildren, Grayson, Hadley and Naomi Rothbauer, Zeke, Jackson and Dawson Assenti (and one Rothbauer on the way!).  She is also survived by her sister, Maureen Trimble; and neice, Tina Sanutelli Jones as well as many more nieces, nephews and cousins.

Patti was a devout catholic who was very active in her parish. Although she would not want to be acknowledged, because she was very humble, and believed all glory is from God, and should be given to Him, her presence will be greatly missed. Her faith filled her and she let His love flow forth to everyone she met. It could be said that she was dedicated to her family and friends, but her dedication was to her Savior, and only through that love does her love for them permeate and live on.

Friends will be received in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home, 1701 Route 51, Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania (412-384-0350) www.stephendslater.com on Saturday, May 14, 2022, from 5 – 7 pm and on Sunday, May 15, 2022, from 1 – 5 pm.
