Katherine “Kathy” Ann (Barbera) McCormick

Katherine McCormick, age 81, of Jefferson Hills, formerly of Clairton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 12, 2021. She was born March 26, 1940 in Clairton to the late Joseph P. and Julia M. (Ragone) Barbera.

Kathy graduated from Clairton High School in 1958, she worked as a waitress at the Holiday House in Monroeville and the South Park Inn, she also volunteered for meals on wheels. She was a member of Pine Run United Methodist Church, and she enjoyed gambling, baking and classic movies. Most of all Kathy loved her granddaughters with all her heart!

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William L. McCormick; and brother, Vincent F. Barbera. She is survived by her children, Kelly L. McCormick, Billy S. (Kathy) McCormick, and Scotty J. (the late Cindy) McCormick; granddaughters, Taura, Jordan, Mariah, Lani, Noelle & Anna; great grandchildren Callie and Charlie Kay; sister, Andrea (Jack) Kisielnicki; sister in laws, Barbara Barbera and Bonny (the late Lloyd) Rabe; she is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends received noon to 4 & 6 – 8 pm Sunday, May 16th at Stephen D Slater Funeral Home, 1701 Route 51, Jefferson Hills, PA 15025. A prayer and final respects will be at 9 am at the funeral home Monday morning. Her funeral service will be held Monday, May 17th at Pine Run United Methodist Church, 901 N 6th St. Clairton, PA 15025 at 10 am.

Most of all Kathy loved her granddaughters with all her heart!
