HARRY WILLIAM “BILL” COLEMAN

Harry “Bill” Coleman, age 72 of West Mifflin, Pennsylvania, formerly of Vero Beach, Florida, died Sunday, November 13, 2022.  Bill was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on February 17, 1950, and grew up in the Whitehall Borough area of Pittsburgh, one of two children of Harry Werner Coleman and Mary Jane (Adler) Coleman.

He graduated from St. Elizabeth Catholic High School in the Baldwin / Whitehall area in 1968 and was a Sergeant in the US Army during the Vietnam War.  He later worked in the family business, Whitehall Tire, located on Route 51 in Brentwood Borough.  For a time in 2005 – 2007 he owned a Valentino Hugo Boss boutique in Naples, Florida.  Returning to Pittsburgh he then worked for his friend, Bill Gray, in the finance department of his Volvo Dealership.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his devoted wife, Dr. Rebecca Coleman; a sister-in-law, Louise (Lynn) Deweese; his sister Carol (the late Leo) Zini of Upper St. Clair, Pennsylvania; a niece, Sherri (Sean) Collins; a nephew, David Stoehr and his God Daughter Kate (McCormack) Istone.

Friends will be received on Friday, November 18, 2022, from 3 – 7 pm in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania 15025 (412-384-0350) www.stephendslater.com. There will be a Blessing Service for Bill on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at 10 am in the funeral home and a graveside service with Military Honors will follow in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Township, Pennsylvania.
