Elaine M.C. Telega, age 82 of Clairton, Pennsylvania died Tuesday, February 12, 2019 in AHN Jefferson Hospital in Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania.  Elaine was born on October 7, 1936 in Clairton, one of five children of Andrew Joseph and Anna (Warhol) Telega.

Elaine who loved dogs, was a longtime English Teacher and Guidance Counselor at Clairton High School from the 1960’s to the 1990’s.  She was an avid enthusiast of theater and the arts and helped with many theater productions at Clairton High School.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Florence Gallo and Jane Jamieson and her only brother, Larry Telega.  She is survived by her last sibling, sister, Dorothy A. Rowson of Florida and many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received Friday, February 15, 2019 from 10am - 12pm in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 (Large) in Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania 15025 (412-384-0350) where a Blessing Service will be held at the end of the visitation at noon.  Elaine’s burial will be in St. Clare Cemetery on Worthington Avenue also in Clairton.
