ELAINE  MULHERN  MILLER

Elaine Miller, 86, of Edinboro, PA, formerly of Elizabeth, PA, peacefully passed away on Monday, December 24, 2018.

Born on June 25, 1932, in Duquesne, PA, she was the daughter of the late Francis Mulhern and late Elizabeth M. Mulhern and wife to the late William H. Miller. She was the loving mother of Sharon Miller (Sally Whitcomb), Sandra (Raymond) Plavchak, and Shawna Miller (Scott Burright); dearest sister to Jerome (Dory) Mulhern; devoted grandmother to Brittany (Jamie) Redmer, Lindsay Plavchak and Lauren Plavchak.

Elaine was employed by Equibank of White Oak for over 25 years and loved the personal connections that she made with her customers. In her later years, she fully enjoyed her time as a receptionist at The Ken and Jean Dance Studio and valued the special relationships she developed with the studio families. Elaine was a dedicated member of St. Michael’s Parish in Elizabeth, PA.

Elaine will be remembered as a kind and compassionate woman who cherished her time with family and friends. She was happiest when doing selfless things for others and always provided support and care for those she loved. Elaine spent many years as a caregiver to her dearest friend.

Friends will be received Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 3:30 – 7:30 pm at the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home, Jefferson Hills, PA. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Christ the Light of the World Parish, Holy Name Church at 10:00 am, with the Rev. Tom Lewandowski presiding. Interment will follow at Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth, PA.

Elaine’s family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff at ForestView at Springhill in Erie, PA, for their compassionate and exceptional care. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Greater Pennsylvania Chapter.
