EDITH  BRYEN

Edith Margaret Bryen, age 95 of Redstone Highlands in North Huntingdon Township, Pennsylvania, died there on Monday, November 9, 2020.  Edith was born in Duquesne, Pennsylvania on April 2, 1925 one of two children of Herbert J. and Lily (Bates) Bryen.  She grew up in Duquesne and went to Duquesne High School and Robert Morris University (which then was a business school), living most of her life there until going to Redstone Highlands in Greensburg and North Huntingdon.

Edith was a secretary for many years at U. S. Steel’s Duquesne Works and was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Duquesne for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Bryen in 1999.  She is survived by a niece, Rebecca Bryen Benson of Wyckoff, New Jersey and cousins, Barbara Porter, Anna Fine, Joan Ott, Dora Park and Bill Sellers.

Edith will be buried in Lakewood Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Cheswick, Pennsylvania with her brother, sister-in-law Dorothy Hauk Bryen and Becky’s sister, Marjorie Elsen Bryen, who died as a young child.
