BILLIE  JEAN  (BAILEY)  McCORMICK

Billie McCormick, age 92 passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at her home in Pleasant Hills, Pennsylvania with family around her.  She was born on March 12, 1928 in Dehue, Logan County, West Virginia one of nine children of Clarence and Fanny (Perry) Bailey.

She was an active member of St. Thomas A’ Becket Catholic Church and an active volunteer with the Brentwood Meals on Wheels.  Billie was a member of the Pleasant Hills Garden Club; she loved to play cards; was an avid sports fan, especially local TJ High School sports, even coaching softball with the community youth sports programs.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Albert McCormick in 2003.  Billie is survived by three children, Jackie (John) Hickey, Patty (the late Ken) Giegerich and Kelly (the late Mark) Campbell; five grandchildren, Erin (Tommy) McCafferty, Dan (Cara) Giegerich, Annie and Tommy Campbell and Patrick Hickey; four great grandchildren, Thomas and Mia McCafferty and Danny and Dax Giegerich and her last remaining sibling, sister, Helen McClure of Huntington, West Virginia.

Friends will be received in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania 15025 (412-384-0350) on Thursday, June 11, 2020 from 4 - 8 PM.  Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 12, 2020 in St. Thomas A ’Becket Catholic Church 139 Gill Hall Road Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania at 11 AM. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH.

If desired, Billie’s family suggests donations to the Brentwood Meals on Wheels Program or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospitals in Billie’s name.

Due to the COVID19 CDC restrictions please wear a mask to come to the funeral home.  There may be a waiting period to greet the family due to occupancy restrictions.  We ask that you greet the family, extend your condolences in a timely fashion, and exit so others may do the same and maintain a safe social distance in our building.
