BERNEICE  (MAYER)  PFLUGER

Berneice Pfluger age, 94 of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, died Thursday, October 20, 2022.  She was born April 6, 1928, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, one of three children of George and Rose (Brennen) Mayer.

Berneice grew up in Dravosburg, Pennsylvania and graduated from McKeesport High School.  She loved to go to the family cottage on Lake Erie in Ashtabula, Ohio.  For entertainment she loved playing cards, doing crossword puzzles and Sudoku.  She loved the beach, traveling to her daughter’s home in Florida and attending any activity that her grandchildren were involved in.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Pfluger in 1996 and both of her brothers, Raymond and Thomas “Donnie” Mayer.  Berneice is survived by her two daughters, Lynn (John) Misko of Florida and Donna (Duane) Breitinger of Elizabeth Township, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren, Daniel (Ashley) Misko, Melissa (Robert) Prince, Deana (Jake) Machnik and Deren (Emily) Breitinger and six great grandchildren, Frances, Marianne, John Michael, Ethan, Eliot and Carter.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, from 11 AM until the time of a Blessing Service at 12 Noon in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania 15025 (412-384-0350) www.stephendslater.com.

Berneice’s burial will be private in Jefferson Memorial Park Cemetery, Pleasant Hills, Pennsylvania next to her husband.
