William "Bill" Sekulich, age 73 of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, died Monday, February 14, 2011. Bill was born February 16, 1937 in Large (now part of Jefferson Hills), Pennsylvania, a son of Yova and Anna (Laver) Sekulich. Bill, a race car driver and motorcycle enthusiast, was a supervising mechanic for Ashland Oil and Refinery in the Floreffe section of Jefferson Hills for over 30 years.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Louis Sekulich and is survived by his wife, Jean (Bartholomew) Sekulich; 4 children, 2 sons, William (Tracie) Sekulich of Glassport, Pennsylvania and David (Lisa) Sekulich of Pueblo, Colorado and 2 daughters, Lynn (Thomas) Pickford of Elizabeth, Pennsylvania and Marcia (Brodie) Urban of Jefferson Hills and 8 grandchildren, Abby, Megan and Jesse Sekulich, Tori, Ally and Paige Pickford and Brenna and John Urban.
Friends will be received in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 State Route 51 (Large) Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 PM, where his funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 11 AM. Interment will follow in Jefferson Memorial Park Cemetery in Pleasant Hills, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. If desired, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association in Bill’s name.
