Wilbur "Buzz" Sommervile

WILBUR  “BUZZ”  SOMMERVILLE

Buzz Sommerville age 77 of Elizabeth Township, Pennsylvania, passed away on Saturday,  November 20, 2021.   He was born Wilbur Daily Sommerville on September 1, 1944, in Elizabeth, Pennsylvania one of seven children of John Daily Sommerville and Gertrude (Opfer) Sommerville.

Buzz was a member of the Sutersville Moose Club and an avid Corvette enthusiast, who loved attending Corvette Week at the Carlisle Car Show in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.

He was preceded in death by his parents and five of his siblings, James Sommerville, Louise Ferguson, Ruth Wilson, Paul Sommerville and Shirley Sommerville.

Buzz is survived by his wife of 55 years, Colleen (Burge) Sommerville; two children, Christine Sommerville and Anthony (Jeannine) Sommerville of Elizabeth; two grandchildren, Harley and Paige Sommerville; his sister, Helen Dolan and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Family and Friends will be received in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania 15025 www.stephendslater.com on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, from 12 Noon – 2 pm and 4 – 6 pm. A Blessing Service for Buzz will be held during the early afternoon visitation at 1:30 pm. A Funeral Wake will follow the 6 pm visitation.
