WANDALEE D’ANGELO
Wandalee D’Angelo, age 86 of Pleasant Hills, Pennsylvania died peacefully on Saturday, September 25, 2021. She was born Wandalee Baker on July 4, 1935, in Great Bend, Kansas one of three children of Claude Marion Baker and Mildred G. (Schemaider) Baker.
She worked as an Administrative Assistant for many different employers and was especially proud of her excellent typing skills. Wandalee loved to travel in the family motor home all over the country and was the treasurer of the 21st Georgia Civil War Re-enactment group. She was most proud of being involved in all her children’s activities, especially Drum and Bugle Corps, and as many of her grandchildren’s activities as she could.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Karen Lee, and her daughter-in-law (son James’ wife) Tricia D’Angelo. Wandalee is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, U. S. Navy veteran, Paul James D’Angelo; three children, James D’Angelo of Long Island, New York, Robert D. (Debbie) D’Angelo of Dover, Pennsylvania and Karen (Ron Earley) D’Angelo of Rostraver, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren, Lori, Michael (Beth) and Matthew (Kim) D’Angelo and Krista (Justin) Garland; six great grandchildren, Ava, Kane, Annabel, Michaella, Adeline and Paul; her sister, Bonnie (Gene) Sterritt and she is also survived by her great grand puppy, Zayla.
Wandalee’s visitation and funeral service will be private with her family and close friends. She will be buried in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville, Pennsylvania.
