TERRY LEE THORNTON
Terry Thornton, age 53, of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, died suddenly on Saturday, January 30, 2016. He was born one of four children of Grover Horton "Tex" and Hazel Wilma (McLain) Thornton in Borger, Texas on May 19, 1962 and grew up in Terre Houte, Indiana. He served in the U. S. Army and was a scientist at NIOSH, here in the Pittsburgh area, from the early 2000's till the present.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his only sister, Debbie Butler. He is survived by his beloved wife Susan (Bachman) Thornton; his beloved children Benjamin and Sarah Thornton and brothers Jerry and Gary Thornton.
Friends will be received in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 (Large) in Jefferson Hills on Thursday, February 4, 2016 from 3 - 8 pm. HIs funeral service and Military Honors will be in the Windover Hills United Methodist Church on Friday, February 5, 2016 at 11am. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH.
