SHIRLEY (GAITHER) BRITT
Shirley G. Britt, age 89, formerly a long time resident of Brentwood Borough in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2017. Shirley was born on May 1, 1928 in Pittsburgh the daughter of Winston Edmand "Jack" Gaither and Francis (Golden) Gaither. She and her late husband Frank W. Britt (dod: December 17, 2008) had moved from Brentwood to Ocean Pines, Maryland and after Frank's death, she eventually came back to Pennsylvania in the Scottdale / Mt. Pleasant area to be closer to her son Mark.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Frank and their daughter, Karen Lee Sossi. She is survived by her two sons, Mark (Donna) Britt and Gary (Mary) Britt; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
At this time no services are planned. Arrangements were by the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home (Large) in Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania.
