Sheridan Arnold Biddle, Jr. age 84 of West Elizabeth, Pennsylvania, died Friday, January 13, 2012. He was born May 13, 1927 in West Elizabeth one of three children of Sheridan Arnold Biddle, Sr. and Sadie Belle (Mehramen) Biddle. Arnold worked for US Steel in the Clairton Works for over 30 years and served in the Army during the Korean War.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Roger Biddle, sister, Beulah G. Carter, a niece Peggy Biddle and a nephew Richard Biddle. He is survived by 2 nieces, Nancy (Jerry) L. Angotti of Clairton, Pennsylvania and Laurel (Gilbert) Smith of Liberty Borough, Pennsylvania; 1 nephew, Brett (Kathy) Biddle of Clairton; a step - daughter, Janet (Tony) Homa of Elizabeth, Pennsylvania and many cousins.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 from 4 - 7 PM in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 State Route 51 (Large) in Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania where his funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM with Reverend Walt Pietschmann officiating. Burial will follow in Round Hill Cemetery in Elizabeth Township, Pennsylvania.
In lieu of flowers donation may be made to the Olivet Presbyterian Church or the Olivet Food Bank, 726 4th Street, West Elizabeth, Pennsylvania 15088.
