ALEXANDRA “SANDY” (CHERPAK) SCHAMING
OF JEFFERSON HILLS
Sandy Schaming, age 64, of Jefferson Hills, formerly of Duquesne, died suddenly on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at home. She was born June 19, 1947 in McKeesport one of two daughters of Michael and Olga (Duli) Cherpak. Sandy was a graduate of Duquesne HS, class of 1965, attended Robert Morris College, retired from Alcoa, was a member of the Alcoa Singers, a CCD Teacher at Holy Spirit Catholic Church and was actively involved in Cub and Boy Scouts with her sons and husband.
She was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Schaming; 2 sons, Wade of New York City and Brad of Jefferson Hills; one sister, Bonnie (Tim) Burton of Greenock and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 State Route 51 (Large), Jefferson Hills on Sunday from 3 - 7 PM and Monday from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM. A funeral prayer will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 9:15 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will follow in Holy Spirit Catholic Church, West Mifflin at 10 AM. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Park.
