Ruth A. Phillips, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on July 18, 2013. She was born June 17, 1948, to the late John and Dorothy Pikulin, in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. She was an instructional tutor at a juvenile detention facility for 19 years. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her sons, Jason Baxter and Dean Baxter; and stepdaughter, Kristen Phillips. Ruth is survived by her husband, David Phillips; two sisters, Esther Urbas and Dorothy Dobrowski; two brothers, Dr. John Pikulin and Paul Pikulin. She is also survived by a niece and nephews.
Friends will be received Friday, July 26th in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home, 1701 Route 51 (Large) Jefferson Hills, from 12 - 1:30Pm, a funeral service will be held at1:30 Pm immediately following the visitation. Interment will follow in Jefferson Memorial Park, Pleasant Hills.
