ROY BOWERS
Roy George Bowers, age 78, of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, died Friday, June 19, 2015. He was born on May 30, 1937 in Vindex (Garrett County) Maryland, a son of George Tyler Bowers and Bessie Aretta (Comp) Bowers. Roy was a retired employee of Trumbull Corporation.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Rae (Suty) Bowers in 2002 and a son, Roy Paul Bowers. He is survived by four sons, Carl Bowers, Alan (Mitzi) Bowers, Richard Bowers and Adam Bowers; one daughter, Melissa Bowers; daughter-in-law, Susan Bowers; 5 grandchildren, Michael, Kimberly, Ashley, Justin and Samantha; 6 great grandchildren and four siblings, Danny and Dale Bowers, Deanna Bruce and Janis Dean.
Friends will be received in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 (Large) in Jefferson Hills from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM on Sunday, June 21, 2015. His burial will be private.
