Rose Mary Lawrence

Rose Mary Lawrence, age 79 of Jefferson Hills, PA and formerly of Latrobe, PA passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, from Endometrial Cancer. Rose Mary was born on August 21, 1946, in Nicktown, Cambria County, PA and was currently residing with her son, Kevin, in Jefferson Hills. She was 1 of 7 children of Joseph M. and Rose Mary (Fresch) Horvath.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Lynn Lawrence on May 27, 2025, their 2 children, Christine M. Lawrence and Paul L. Lawrence and her parents.

Rose Mary is survived by 4 children, Robert J. Lawrence, Kevin T. (Connie) Lawrence, Brian J. (Christey) Lawrence and Steven M. Lawrence; 6 grandchildren, Alex, Katherine, Carter, Ciara, Julia, Kayla and Amy; 8 great grandchildren, Mason, Adalyn, Clair, Landon, Rynn, Elijah and Avery; 6 siblings, Joseph M. Horvath, Jr., Daniel C. Horvath, James (Pat) Horvath, Mary (Louise) Horvath Hessler, Robert F. Horvath and Mark T. Horvath all of her nieces and nephews and her beloved cats, Penny, Chewy and Taffy.

Rose Mary loved her faith, was a devout Catholic and she loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Friends and family will be received on Sunday, February 8, 2026, from 1 – 5 pm in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51, Jefferson Hills, PA 15025 (412-384-0350) www.stephendslater.com. A Catholic Blessing Service will be held for Rose Mary at 4 pm in the funeral home, during the visitation.
