RONALD L. RUFFING
Ron Ruffing, age 79, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at his home in Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania. He was born on July 13 1938, one of seven children of Leonard C Ruffing and Emma P (Bildhauser) Ruffing. Ron was a retired airplane mechanic for USAir airlines in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth "Liz" (McRoberts) Ruffing in 2015 and two brothers, Norbert and Joseph Ruffing. Ron is survived by two children, son, Ron (Gina) Ruffing and daughter, Dana (Greg) Turk; six grandchildren, Scott, Alex, Tyler, Riley, Shepherd and Chase and four sibings, sisters, Leota M. Ruffing, Kathleen Yaksick and Mary Jean Ruffing and brother, Regis Ruffing.
Friends will be received in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 (Large) in Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 from 2 ‑ 4 PM and 6 ‑ 9 PM. There will be a prayer in the funeral home on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 9 AM with Mass of Christian Burial following at 10 AM in Holy Spirit Catholic Church in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania. Ron's burial will be next to his wife in Jefferson Memorial Park Cemetery in Pleasant Hills, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
