ROBERT M. BUTLER
R obert Marshall Butler, age 71, of Clairton, Pennsylvania, passed away on Friday August 29, 2014. H e was born, April 16, 1943 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania one of three children to Walter Valentine and Kathryn Rita (Todd) Butler.
Robert was a graduate of Clairton High School and attended Morehead State University. He is retired from the Port Authority of Allegheny County; is a former Clairton Police Officer; a member F & AM Wilson Joppa Lodge #714; a Vietnam Veteran and was a member of the 1st Army Band.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Robert M. Butler, Jr. He is survived by his son, Chris (Jennifer) Butler; grandson, Landon Butler; his two siblings, sister, Mary Ann Butler and brother, William (Bonnie) Butler and a nephew, Marshall (Heather) Butler.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, September 2nd, from 3 – 7 PM in the Stephen D Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51, Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania 15025, 412-384-0350. There will be a Prayer Service at the end of the visitation at 7 PM and a burial of his cremated remains in St. Clare Cemetery in Clairton.
