Regis Ruffing

REGIS M. RUFFING

Regis Ruffing, age 48, passed away at his home in Highland, New York on Thursday, May 10, 2018 surrounded by loved ones. He fought a good fight.   He was born on March 30, 1970, one of three children and the only son, of Regis Edward and Mary Louise (Baranesky) Ruffing.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Betty Ann Treasure and several aunts and uncles.  He is survived by his loving wife, Tonia Ruffing; his two step-sons, Raymond Place, Jr. also of Highland and Devin Quick of Gardiner, New York; his father, Regis of Monroe, New York; his two sisters, Melinda Ruffing of Richmond, Virginia and Marcia (James) Kania of Peterborough, New Hampshire and two nieces Casey and Jordan Kania also of Peterborough.

Friends will be received in the Michael Torsone Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 38 Main Street Highland, New York 12528 on Tuesday May 15, 2018 from 6 pm – 9 pm and in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home, 1701 Route 51 (Large) Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania 15025 on Thursday, May 17, 2018 from 4 pm – 8 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated in St. Michael’s Catholic Church 101 McLay Drive Elizabeth, Pennsylvania 15037 on Friday, May 18, 2018 at 10 am.  Father Thomas Wagner will Celebrate the Mass.  Regis will be cremated and a private burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
