PHYLLIS L. BICKERTON

Phyllis Bickerton, age 87, of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023.  She was born, Phyllis Detman on November 1, 1935, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, one of four children of Herbert and Mary Detman.

Phyllis worked for the West Jefferson Hills School District as a custodian and school bus monitor during the 1980’s and 1990’s.  She was a member of the Floreffe Fire Department’s Ladies Auxiliary and very involved with activities and programs at her church, Crossroads Ministries in Finleyville, Pennsylvania.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Lee Bickerton in 2018, a grandson, William R. H. Bickerton in 2017, her daughter-in-law, Cheryl "Lynnie" Rimsky in 2022, and all three of her siblings, Herbert, Mickey, and Lorraine.

Phyllis is survived by her son, William H. Bickerton of Jefferson Hills; granddaughter, Jennifer Bickerton of Florida; great granddaughter Adrianna; niece ,whom Phyllis thought of as a daughter, Cindy (Mikolaj) Godec and many more nieces and nephews.
