Phil Graziano, age 90 of Creighton, Pennsylvania, passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. Philip Anthony Graziano was born on July 23, 1934, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was formerly of the Brookline area of Pittsburgh. He was one of nine children of the late Antonio and Pierina (Rubeo) Graziano.
Phil served in the US Army during the later stages of the Korean War and remained in the Reserves in the Peace Time period before the Vietnam War where he was a tank mechanic. His time in the military working on tanks led him to work for Boron corporation in 1962 and becoming a manager of many Boron and later BP gas stations and to become known as “the BP Guy”. He retired from that career in the late 1990’s.
Outside of his work, Phil loved classic cars, especially Corvettes and Camero’s. He loved anything to do with Eagles and watching them fly. He had an Eagle painted on the hood of his own Corvette.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five of his siblings, brothers, Peter, Joseph, John and Richard Graziano and sister, Sandy Tanner and two nieces, Betsy and Tish.
Phil is survived by two children, son, Philip A. Graziano, Jr. of Brooklyn, New York and Toni (James) Lauso of Pleasant Hills, in Pittsburgh. He is the cherished Pap Pap to Gianna and Anthony Lauso and the brother of Michael, Pearl and Anita Graziano. He is also survived by nephews, John Graziano, Louie Sager, nieces, Josie Sager, Angela Graziano Bigos, Donna Bigos and great nephew, Jaxx Rizzo.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, June 19, 2025, from 4 – 8 pm in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania 15025 (412-384-0350) www.stephendslater.com. There will be a Prayer in the funeral home on Friday morning, June 20, 2025, at 9:30 am followed by a procession to Calvary Cemetery 718 Hazelwood Avenue Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15217 where he will be buried with Military Honors.
In lieu of flowers, his family suggests a donation be made in Phil’s name to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital Fund.
To Phil – his grandchildren were his life!
