Patricia Dulay, age 82 of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 22, 2024, at her home. She was born Patricia Mary Bucko on October 5, 1941, one of four children of Andrew Peter Bucko and Bertha (Palaschak) Bucko in Homestead, Pennsylvania.
She grew up in West Homestead, PA and Export, PA. She was a cook for Shuman Center and also worked many years alongside her husband, Bob, for Mathews Bus Company driving a school bus in the West Jefferson Hills School District. She so enjoyed the special needs children in her care on the buses.
Patty enjoyed hosting pool parties for family and friends and serving special ethnic foods. She was known for her generosity, friendliness, beautiful sparkling blue eyes, and engaging smile.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, Robert Eugene Dulay on November 15, 2010, and all three of her siblings, Frank, Bernard, and Andrew “Shorty” Bucko. Patricia is survived by her three daughters, Kathy Uhar, Cheryl Warhola and Cyndi and Troy Crow; nieces, Lynnette and Gene Emerick and Cheryl (O’Black) Dulay; five grandchildren, Steven Warhola, Julia (Warhola) Thompson and her husband, Scott, Austin Warhola, Franchesca (Uhar) Panich and her husband, Milan, Josh Crow and his wife, Kate; five great grandchildren, Eden, Fletcher, Tripp, Wyatt and Logan; great nephew, Justin Emerick and his wife, Mia; great niece, Jessica Dulay and great-great nephew, Andrius Emerick.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, April 25, 2024, from 2 – 4 pm and 6 – 8 pm in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 Jefferson Hills, PA (412-384-0350) www.stephendslater.com. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for her on Friday, April 26, 2024, at 10 am in Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish, St. Thomas A’ Becket Catholic Church 139 Gill Hall Road Jefferson Hills, PA 15025. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH. Patty will be buried, next to Bob, in Jefferson Memorial Park Cemetery, Pleasant Hills, PA immediately following the Mass.
Patty was her grandchildren’s best friend and the brightest light you can imagine. Everyone loved this spunky, beautiful woman. She will forever be in the fabric of our hearts.
