NORBERT RUFFING

Norbert F. Ruffing, age 86, Of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, died on Monday, April 1, 2013.  He was born September 15, 1926 in Clairton, Pennsylvania one of seven children of Leonard C. and Emma P. (Bildhauser) Ruffing and was a Supervisor at Continental Can Company in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania.

He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by all of his siblings, three brothers, Joseph A (the late Helen) Ruffing of Elizabeth Township, Pennsylvania, Regis E. (Mary Lou) Ruffing of Monroe, New York and Ron L. (Elizabeth) Ruffing of Jefferson Hills and three sisters, Leota M. Ruffing of Pleasant Hills, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Kathleen (Charles) Yaksick of Elizabeth Township and Mary Jean Ruffing of Pleasant Hills and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Friends will be received from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 (Large) in Jefferson Hills.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 12 Noon in Holy Spirit Catholic Church in West Miffllin with Father John Lendvai celebrating the Mass.  EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH.  Burial will be graveside with Military Honors in Mount Vernon Cemetery in Elizabeth Township.
