Nick Holomshek

Nicholas “Nick” Holomshek, age 60 of Elizabeth, Pennsylvania, died suddenly on Saturday, April 11, 2026. Nick was born in the Blythedale area on January 17, 1966, one to Nicholas and Janice Joyce (Chiesi) Holomshek. He graduated from Elizabeth Forward High School and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Secondary Education from California University of Pennsylvania.

Nick was a proud Paramedic (Certification #000944), Firefighter and Eagle Scout. He worked for PRN Healthcare Transportation Services, in addition to Clairton, Jefferson Hills and Elizabeth Township EMS. He was a life member at the Elizabeth Volunteer Fire Company Station # 143 in the Blythedale area, and a member of the Polaris Masonic Lodge # 375 F & AM in McKeesport.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Denise L. (Graham) Holomshek; their three children, Kristy L. Holomshek, Nicholas M. Holomshek and Stephen D. (wife Brandy) Holomshek, and nine beautiful grandchildren, RJ, Cora, Abigail, Kian, Wyatt, Warren, Alexis, Jillian and Nolan; his mother, Janice (the late Nicholas) Holomshek; his sister, Suzanne (husband William) Downer. He is the son-in-law of JoAnne (the late Donald) Graham; the brother-in-law of Diane (husband Eric) Soukup and Donald (wife Shirley) Graham, Jr. and is also survived by eleven nieces and nephews.

Nick was a very proud and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend that was always willing to lend or an ear for anyone in need. He was a very selfless, caring and thoughtful man who loved working with his hands, who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He will be greatly missed by many.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, April 16, 2026, from 2 – 8 pm in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania 15025 (412-384-0350) www.stephendslater.com. A Masonic Service for Nick will be held at 7:30 pm. On Friday morning, April 17, 2026, there will be a Blessing Service at 10:45 am in the funeral home, with Nick's burial in West Newton Cemetery following.
