Millina Sticco, age 96 of Pleasant Hills in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area, formerly of Fanwood, New Jersey, died on Wednesday, November 11, 2015.  She was born on October 30, 1919 in North Plainfield, New Jersey, one of seven children to Giuseppe and Matilde (Parlati) Mangione.  Millina attended North Plainfield High School, then worked for Roddick Rubber during WW II; worked in the Receiving Department at Teppers Department Store in Plainfield, New Jersey and later was a store clerk for Quick Check in Fanwood, New Jersey.  A life-long Presbyterian, she loved hosting family gatherings; loved New York sports, especially the Yankees and Giants and playing board and card games.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas Joseph Sticco in 1999 and all of her six siblings, sisters, Santina Stevens, Mary Garofalo, Gilda Juiliano, Josephine “Phiny” Brunet and brothers, Dominck and Joseph Mangione.  Millina is survived by two children, son, Settimio (Linda) Sticco of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania and Janet (Curtis) Stroup of Pleasant Hills; four grandchildren, Seth (Kate) Sticco, Beth Rivera, Chris Ann and Ryan C. Stroup and one great grandson, Gage Sticco.

Friends will be received in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 (Large) in Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania on Thursday, November 12, 2015 from 3:30 – 6:30 PM.  Her burial will be on Saturday, November 14, 2015 in Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains, New Jersey.
