MICHAEL KUKICH
Michael Kukich, age 88, of Jefferson Hills, died Thursday, January 5, 2012. He was born June 10, 1923 in Pittsburgh, one of six children of Milovan and Anna (Kowalski) Kukich. Mike was a machinist for 33 years at J & L (LTV) Steel Corp. He was a member of the former St. Mary’s Serbian Orthodox Church in Clairton and currently a member of Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Cathedral in Whitehall.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by all of his siblings, Helen, Mildred, Mary, Bertha and George Kukich. Mike is survived by his wife, Stella (Tintor) Kukich; two sons, Michael of Myrtle Beach, SC and David of Bethel Park and two granddaughters, Stephanie Layne Kukich and Dana Michelle Kukich.
Friends will be received from Noon – 4 and 6 – 8 PM on Sunday and 10 - 11 AM on Monday in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 State Route 51 (Large) in Jefferson Hills. A Pomen Service will be held on Sunday at 12:30 PM. His funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM on Monday in the Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Cathedral, with Father Rajko Kosic officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow, graveside, in Jefferson Memorial Park Cemetery.
