MICHAEL JOSEPH GIGLIO
On February 28, 2017, Michael Joseph Giglio, 46, of McKeesport, formerly of Plum and Murrysville, died peacefully, surrounded by his parents and siblings. Son of Joe and JoAnn Giglio, he is also survived by his sisters Chris (Davidson), Jane (Steve) and Maureen (Joe) and brother Joe (Holly) and 12 nieces and nephews who added electronics and football pools to his life. He is also survived by his grandmother, Jane Connolly of Tequesta, FL, and many aunts and uncles and cousins across the country.
Mike’s foremost ability was making his friends and family more compassionate and better people. He will be missed. He was a 1991 graduate of Kiski Area High School and the Spina Bifida Gatehouse Program at the Woodlands where he spent many happy camping weekends with his friends. Mike’s last years were wonderful years of independence with neighbors and aides in McKeesport. They enriched his life with friendship and devotion.
A reception of friends and family will be held at Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home on Route 51, Jefferson Hills on Fri. Mar. 3rd from 4 to 6:30 pm. A final shared moment of goodbye will be held at 6:30 pm.
