MELVIN  WEIGHTMAN

Melvin Weightman age 90 of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania died unexpectedly Saturday, January 12, 2013.  He was born Melvin Edward Weightman on September 28, 1922 in Elrama, Washington County, Pennsylvania one of three children of Stephen and Josephine Weightman.  He was a member of the AARP in Wilson, Clairton, Pennsylvania.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Emily Weightman.  Melvin is survived by his wife, Sylvia (Arnold) Weightman; two children, son, David (Nancy) Weightman and daughter, Cathie (Greg) Evans; four grandchildren, Deborah Allen, Daniel (Kelly) Weightman, Kelly (Justin) Short and Melanie (Tony) Susani; one great-grandson, Aidan Crory and a sister, Doris Crum.

Friends will be received on Tuesday from 3 – 6 PM in Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 (Large) in Jefferson Hills where his funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM.  Burial will be in West Newton Cemetery in West Newton, Pennsylvania.  In lieu of flowers his family suggests donations to the charity of your choice.
