MELANIE (BRUNO) SHEARER

Melanie Shearer, age 61 of Whitehall Borough in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2018 at her home surrounded by family members.  She was born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania on October 22, 1956 one of three children of Joseph Orlando and Pauline (Fedorko) Bruno.  Melanie grew up in the Elizabeth, Pennsylvania area and graduated from Elizabeth Forward High School in 1974.

She was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by two sons, John Shearer and David (Jessica) Shearer; 7 grandchildren, Breana, John, Matthew, Mackenzie, Makenna, Kassidy and Maverick and her two siblings, Saundra Matthews of Tomball, Texas and Joseph Vincent (Tina) Bruno of Elizabeth.

Friends will be received on Friday, June 1, 2018 from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 (Large), Jefferson Hills,  Pennsylvania, where her funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 10 AM with Pastor Sharon Lopez of Living Hope Assembly of God Church in Clairton, Pennsylvania officiating.  Her burial will follow in Round Hill Cemetery in Elizabeth.
