MARY GRACE (MORRONE) NAMIOTKA

Mary Grace Namiotka, age 77, of Pleasant Hills in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born Mary Grace Morrone on December 2, 1939, in Pittsburgh, the only child of Egan V. Morrone and Romayne K. (DeVitto) Morrone.  Mary Grace was a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Ladies of Charity at St. Thomas A’ Becket Catholic Church in Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Amanda Jo Hughes.  She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Walter S. Namiotka; four children, Mary Jo (Kevin) Hughes of Volant, Pennsylvania, Walter J. Namiotka of Davenport, Florida, Romayne (Donald) Abbott of Buena Vista, Pennsylvania and Christine Namiotka of the Mt. Washington section of Pittsburgh, five grandchildren, Wendy Welsh, Kevin Hughes, Patrick Hughes, Aaron Abbott, Christian Abbott and five great grandchildren, Andrew, Matthew and Amanda Welsh and Layla and Bailey Hughes.

Friends will be received in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 (Large) in Jefferson Hills on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 from 1 – 4 PM and 6 – 9 PM. A prayer will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 9 AM followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Thomas A’Becket Catholic Church, 139 Gill Hall Road, Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania 15025.  Father Daniel Maurer will celebrate the Mass.  Her burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in the Hazelwood section of Pittsburgh.
