MARY CATHERINE LOMBARDI

Your friend, Mary Catherine Lombardi, age 56, passed away on Friday, February 4, 2022, in Wexford House, Wexford, Pennsylvania.  It is with great sadness we announce her passing. She was the daughter of the late Faye (Steffey) Lombardi, who passed away in October of 2009.  The family had resided in Clairton, Pennsylvania.

Mary was a friend to all, a true joy and a lover of animals, as well as practical jokes. She had a beautiful smile, and we were so very blessed to have known her. Thank you to Step by Step, Inc. for their years of wonderful care and the loving staff that adored her. She was the “assistant” to many supervisors and enjoyed her life there. She taught everyone who knew her about the meaning of unconditional love. We are deeply saddened she has left us but, know how truly happy she is to be with her Mom again. She was a true gift to all who knew and loved her.

Mary will be buried next to her mom in Salem United Church of Christ Cemetery in Cowanshannock Township, Kittanning, Pennsylvania.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at 1 PM in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania 15025 (412-384-0350) www.stephendslater.com.   June 1st was the date of Mary Catherine’s birth.  The Reverend E. Ben Robinson of the Wilson Presbyterian Church in Clairton, Pennsylvania, where Mary Catherine and her mother Faye, attended before Faye’s passing, will officiate the service.
