Listen to Obituary

Mary Jo "Mimi" (Gormley) Yelenic, age 60, formerly of Greenfield, Pennsylvania, passed away unexpectedly on September 2, 2026. She was born on November 2, 1965, one of four children of the late Robert and EthelRita "Peanuts" Gormley, Sr.

Mimi graduated from Bishop Boyle High School in 1984 and went on to earn her associate’s degree at Bradford School of Business. She worked as an administrative assistant in education and later for the Central Blood Bank before starting her own residential cleaning business. She was proud of her work and built meaningful, lasting relationships with her clients.

Her daughters were her greatest joy. She took every opportunity to share how proud she was of them and how much she loved them. Mimi treasured every moment spent her family, whether it was a special occasion or simply an ordinary day together.

She is survived by her two loving daughters, Kelly (Colby) Faust of Elysburg, Pennsylvania and Antoinette “Toni” (Nicholas) Raimondi of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; her sister, EllaMae “Ellie” (Michael) Balego; her brother, Scott M. (Renee) Gormley, Sr.; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Gormley, Jr.

Mimi is also survived by her precious granddaughter, Olivia Kay. Olivia was her entire world, and being her “Grammie” was a role Mimi cherished more than anything. Olivia brought her a kind of happiness that was impossible to put into words, and her love for her granddaughter was undeniable to everyone who knew her. Olivia, always remember, "Grammie loves you!"
