MARIE (MERLINO) RAIMONDI
Marie Carmella Raimondi, age 81 of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, died on Wednesday, November 9, 2016. She was born March 27, 1935 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, one of 5 children of William Fredrick and Angeline Josephine (Gamberi) Merlino. Marie, who loved to play Bingo, owned “Raimondi’s” restaurant on Route 885 in Jefferson Hills for six years in the late 1990’s and early 2000’s, with her son Edward, Jr. and her late husband, Edward James Raimondi, Sr, (dod: March 7, 2009).
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Merlino. She is survived by four sons, Edward (Linda) Raimondi, Jr., of Munhall, Pennsylvania, Robert (Susan) Raimondi of Pleasant Hills, Pennsylvania, James (Kathy) Raimondi of Jefferson Hills and Joseph (Mary) Raimondi of South Park, Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren, Frankie, Lindsey, James, Robert, Jason, Josh and Nick; one great granddaughter, Kyra and three siblings, William “Bill” (Clare) Merlino, Charles Merlino and Josephine (Nino) Puccio.
Friends will be received from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM on Sunday, November 13, 2016 in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 (Large) in Jefferson Hills, where a Blessing service will held at 12:30 PM on Monday, November 14, 2016. Father Patrick Barkey of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania will officiate at the service. Interment will be with her husband in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Washington County near Bridgeville, Pennsylvania.
