Listen to Obituary

Age 75, of Jefferson Hills, PA originally of Baldwin Borough in Pittsburgh, PA, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, June 28, 2026, after a lengthy illness, while under hospice care. We are so glad she is finally at peace.

Beloved wife for 54 years of Allan R. “Fuzzy” Fedela; daughter of the late Patricia B. “Gay” (Jancsar) and the late Regis J. Fishburn; devoted mother of Max (Stephanie) Fedela and Gail (Ryan) Wright; loving grandmother of Cameron and Chloe Wright and Ashley (Nate) Barry; great-grandmother to Ezekiel Barry; cherished sister of Jane (James) Martin-Blount, Drew Fishburn, Susan (John) Fishburn, Donna Keiser, and Paula (Richard) Witt; favorite sister-in-law of George (Becky) Fedela; and special aunt to several nieces and a nephew.

Marianne (“Mare”) was a dedicated mother, proud grandmother, and cherished friend. A woman of style and enduring warmth, Mare leaves behind a legacy defined by her appreciation of beauty in nature and a profound love for her family.

Following her graduation from St. Elizabeth High School in 1968, Marianne held several retail positions, but her true passion was working with flowers. Whether she was outside in the dirt cultivating her own landscape or tending to her flower gardens, she was in her element. Mare possessed a rare talent for creating stunning floral pieces, often designing unusual arrangements featuring unique flowers. She dedicated many years to the floral industry, eventually retiring at age 65 as the lead floral designer at Renee’s Florist in Jefferson Hills.

As her mother once wrote, “Marianne was the pretty baby, the laughter, the fun kid. She was the spark of joy on the darkest day, and she always made the rest of us see that spark!” True to that spirit, Mare brought a vibrant style and energy to everything she did. She was an accomplished cook, a wonderful baker, and a natural hostess who made everyone feel at home. She cherished family vacations to the beach, unforgettable trips to Hawaii to visit her son, and cheering from the audience at her granddaughters’ dance recitals. Above all, Mare had a big heart and a limitless love for all children and dogs.

Mare brought light into every room she entered. Her keen sense of humor, eye for beauty, and vibrant zest for life leave behind a legacy of joy that will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A Memorial Celebration of Marianne’s life will be held at a later date. Details will be announced by the family when finalized.
