Age 84, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 8 th with her family by her side. Peggy was born April 18, 1930 in Elrama , PA to the late Samuel and Alice Jones. She was retired from Montefiore Hospital , was a member and tour director of Blaine Hill AARP in Elizabeth , and was a member of the Elizabeth Senior Citizens Center . Peggy spent the last 20 years enjoying life to its fullest, watching her 3 granddaughters grow into beautiful young ladies, traveling worldwide and playing cards.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Bernie Lane and sister, Alberta Miller Bowers. She is survived by 3 children, James (Cheryl) Lane, Jeff (Jill) Lane, and Janis (Andy) Plevelich; 3 precious granddaughters, Meagan (Rusty Ressler) Metzger, Leah (Matt Curl) Lane and Brianne (Rob Davis) Metzger; sisters, Grace Fedora and Eileen (Junior) Behun; brother, Harold (Cindy) Jones; and nieces and nephews.
Friends received 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 pm Friday, April 10 th at Stephen D Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 Jefferson Hills, PA 15025. A blessing service will be held Saturday, April 11 th at the funeral home at 12 noon with burial to follow at Round Hill Cemetery in Elizabeth .
