Margaret "Margy" Anderson

Margaret Ann (Burton) Anderson age 85 of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania died on Thursday, May 30, 2024. She was born on October 21, 1938, in Glassport, Pennsylvania, a daughter of John Rutherford Burton and Anna (Stepanik) Burton.

 Margy was a former member of Post 712 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Pleasant Hills, PA.  She loved spending time with her family, Bingo, her Card Club and bowling!

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Carl “Baldy” Lewis Anderson on December 31, 2016; a granddaughter, Brienne Walters and her sister Donna Losteter

Margy is survived by her five children, Donna Rae (Pete) Pearsol, of Richeyville, PA, Carl Anderson, III, of North Huntingdon, PA, Claudia (Harry) Walters, of Pratts, VA, Tracey (Jay) Black of Jefferson Hills and Jahna (Ken) Newman of Brookline, Pittsburgh, PA and Kim (Steve) Antkowiak and Scott (Stacey) Poston; twelve grandchildren, John Anderson, Carl (Katie) Anderson, Justine (Cody) Drum, Emily (Mike) Tabor, Molly Walters, Mandy (Justin) Dodds, Torrie Black, Trevor Newman, Bobby Newman, Donna Rae Newman, Zach Antkowiak and Rachel (Adam) Biedrzycki and eight great grandchildren, Eliza, Landon, Kara, Callie, Maggie, Lilly, Izzy and Emmy.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, June 3^rd, 2024, from 1 – 7 pm in the Stephen D Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 (Large) Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania 15025 (412-384-0350) www.stephendslater.com. Her funeral service will be held at the conclusion of the visitation on Monday at 7 pm in the evening. Margy will be inurned in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies with Carl.
