LOUISE (MILLER) CHORBA
Louise Chorba, age 90, of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2017, in Atlanta, Georgia area where her daughter, Donna, lives. Louise was of a strong catholic faith and attended St. Benedict Catholic Church in Atlanta as well as St. Clare of Assisi Parish in Clairton Pennsylvania. She also had a great sense of humor, and a love for cooking and gardening.
In addition to all of her siblings, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, John Chorba in 2009. Louise is survived by her son, John A. Chorba of Jefferson Hills; daughter, Donna (Gary) McClanahan of Atlanta; and grandson, Ryan McClanahan.
Friends will be received in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 (Large) Jefferson Hills on Monday, January 23, 2017 from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM. A prayer will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 AM in St. Clare of Assisi Parish in Clairton. Her burial, next to her husband, will follow in St. Clare Cemetery in Clairton.
