Leonard Stickles

Leonard “Bill” Stickles, age 80, died on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 , at his home in Jefferson Hills, surrounded by his family. He was born Leonard William Stickles on December 21, 1929 in Cumberland , Maryland a son of Lawrence William Stickles and Monica Mary (Liston) Stickles. He was employed by Bell Telephone of PA for 32 years and was a member of Saint Isaac Jogues Catholic Church in the Elrama / Floreffe area.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sons, Joseph and Leonard Stickles; one sister, Monica Lee Rodgers; and one brother, Samuel Stickles. He is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy (Oddo) Stickles; four daughters, Anna Marye (Frank) Carcia of Pittsburgh; Linda Hickman of Port Vue, PA; Angela (Walter) Forlini of Burke, VA; and Nancy (Ed) Briones of Baldwin Borough in Pittsburgh; two brothers, Lawrence (Marjorie) Stickles of Fairmont, WV and  James (Daisy) Stickles of Lake Lynn, PA. He will also be dearly missed by his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Friends will be received on Sunday, October 17, 2010 from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM in the STEPHEN D. SLATER FUNERAL HOME , 1701 State Route 51 (Large) Jefferson Hills, PA 15025. A Prayer will be held in the funeral home on Monday, October 18, 2010 at 9 AM followed by Mass of Christian Burial in St. Isaac Jogues Roman Catholic Church at 10 AM . Interment will follow at Round Hill Cemetery in Elizabeth Township , PA.
