KATHRYN (BUZEK) MADDEN
Kathryn Madden age 93 of Pleasant Hills in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, formerly of the cities of Clairton and McKeesport, Pennsylvania, died in her home surrounded by family members on Monday, January 18, 2016. She was born, Kathryn Beatrice Buzek in McKeesport, one of eleven children of John and Anna (Leskovac) Buzek. Kathryn served in the U. S. Navy WAVES as a Specialist 2nd Class, during WW II.
In addition to her parents, she was prededed in death by her husband, Robert Madden, on February 7, 1985 and six of her siblings. She is survived by her six children, Robert (Deborah) Madden of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, Terrence (Natalie) Madden of Irwin, Pennsylvania, Kathleen (Paul) Montini of Portsmouth, Virginia, Colleen (Paul) Assenti of Forward Township, Pennsylvania, Maureen (David) Sommers and Patricia (John) Fisher both of Pittsburgh; ten grandchildren, Jason (Sherry) Assenti, Kelly Madden (Curt) Matz, Christina Montini (Greg) Harbour, Douglas Montini, Rachael Assenti (Jeffery) Egan, Terrence (Shelley) Madden, Jr., Amy Madden (Rick) Orr, Mackenzie Madden (Zachary) Varga, Rocky Montini and Brendan (Mallory) Madden; fourteen great grandchildren, Ethan and Corrinn Assenti, Sara Matz, Chance Harbour, Alyssa Kruse-Montini, Tristan and Emily Montini, Connor, Julianna and Tanner Egan, Colin and McKenna Madden and Rylee and Carson Orr and four of her siblings.
Friends will be received in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 (Large) in Jefferson Hills on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 10 AM in St. Thomas A’Becket Catholic Church, 139 Gill Hall Road, Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania 15025. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH.
