JULIANA  C. KUCHTA

Age 94, of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, formerly of Pleasant Hills, Pennsylvania, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2016 of natural causes.  Devoted wife of 66 years to the late Joseph M. Kuchta; loving mother of Karen (Jay) Suszynski of Jefferson Hills; Mark J. (Anne) Kuchta of South Park, Pennsylvania and Lisa Marie (Tom) Love of Barstow, California; loving grandmother of Julia Domenica Malecki and Kimberly Love Mosley.  The oldest of 7 children born to John and Katherine Chilko, Slovak immigrants in Vandergrift, Pennsylvania, Juliana is survived by 2 sisters, Virginia Thompson and Betty Johnson, both residing on the West Coast and numerous nieces and nephews.  Juliana was the consummate homemaker, a supreme organizer, a skilled seamstress, splendid cook and charming hostess.  She was also a lover of the arts, particularly music and theater, having met her husband when they shared the stage in their senior class play nearly 80 years ago.  Always pleasant and eager to help others, she led a sincere, Christian life, and sang alto in the choir at St. Thomas A’Becket for roughly 40 years.

Friends received at Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 (Large) Jefferson Hills Sunday, April 10th 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial St. Thomas A’Becket Catholic Church on Monday, April 11th at 10 AM.  EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH.  Burial in Jefferson Memorial Park Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Juliana’s name to TJ ARTS, 220 Orchard Court, Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania 15025 or St. Thomas A’Becket Catholic Church, 139 Gill Hall Road, Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania 15025.
