JOSEPH S. LeDONNE
Joseph LeDonne, age 95 of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, passed away at his home with his family by his side, on Saturday, February 25, 2017. He was born on August 23, 1921 in Clairton, Pennsylvania one of five children of Nicholas and Della (Ross) LeDonne. He worked as a construction Engineer, cost estimator and job site supervisor for numerous major construction companies in the Pittsburgh area; he was a member of F & AM of Stephen Bayard Lodge # 526 in Elizabeth, Pennsylvania; a member and Elder of the Jefferson United Presbyterian Church in Jefferson Hills and he taught adjunct classes in construction math and cost estimation at several Penn State community campuses.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Gretchen (Russell) Petruna and sisters, Patricia Birk and Norma Davis. Joseph is survived by his wife of 69 years, Marian (Price) LeDonne; their daughter, Barbara (Stephen) King of Charleston, West Virginia; a granddaughter, Sarah (Matthew) Childers of Cross Lanes, West Virgina; great granddaughter, Emmalyn Childers and two brothers, Lawrence LeDonne of Jefferson Hills and Elliot LeDonne of Clairton.
There will be a Reception of Friends and a Memorial Service for Joseph at Jefferson United Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, March 1, 2017. The reception of friends will begin at 1 PM with the Memorial Service at 2 PM.
