JEAN (BARTHOLOMEW) SEKULICH
Jean Sekulich, age 76 of Jefferson Hills, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2016. She was born, Jean Louise Bartholomew, on October 13, 1940 in Monongahela, Washington County, Pennsylvania, one of four children of Richard Hall and Erma (Kane) Bartholomew. Jean had retired after 26 years as a school van driver for the West Jefferson Hills School District; she was an avid painter and crafter.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Sekulich on February 14, 2011; a son, David Sekulich on May 21, 2012 and her only brother, Jack Bartholomew. Jean is survived by three children, son, William (Tracie) Sekulich of Glassport, Pennsylvania and daughters, Lynn (Thomas) Pickford of Elizabeth, Pennsylvania and Marcia (Brodie) Urban of Jefferson Hills; eight grandchildren, Abby, Megan and Jesse Sekulich, Tori, Ally and Paige Pickford and Brenna and John Urban; two sisters, Diane (Paul) Lazur of Gary, Indiana and Linda (Thomas Jakub) Fordian of North Huntingdon, Pennsylvania and her dearest friend and cousin Theresa Minda.
Friends will be received in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 (Large) in Jefferson Hills on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM. Her funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 10 AM. Her burial will follow in Jefferson Memorial Park Cemetery in Pleasant Hills, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
