James A. Callear

James Callear, age 77 of Elizabeth Township, Pennsylvania, passed away at his home on Tuesday, October 24, 2023.  He was born on June 17, 1946, one of five children of Edward and Lorraine (Churchill) Callear in Elmira, New York.

James was a U. S. Navy Veteran, retired as a Chief.  He was a member of the St. Joachim and Anne Catholic Parish, the St. Michael Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings, sisters, Connie Wilson and Leslie Roy and brother Keith Callear. James is survived by his wife of 56 years, Kathleen “Kay” (Seidel) Callear; their son, Patrick (Jennifer) Callear of Jenson Beach, Florida; grandson, Lukas Dunaway and his sister, Janice Hollenbeck. He is also survived by two sisters-in-law, a brother-in-law and nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service for James will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at 10 am in St. Joachim and Anne Parish, St. Michael Church 101 McLay Drive Elizabeth, Pennsylvania 15037.  He will be Inurned at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
