Ina Claire Lloyd

Ina Claire Lloyd, age 92 of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, died on Friday, April 17, 2026. She was born Ina Claire Dagger on October 14, 1933, one of three children of James Abraham Dagger and Margaret Regina (McNeil) Dagger.

Ina Claire grew up in Elizabeth, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Elizabeth Forward High School in 1951. She worked in various positions over her lifetime including Bell Telephone Company, Keck’s Restaurant in the Wilson section of Clairton, PA, a Greeter at Bekavac’s Funeral Home and a volunteer at Jefferson Hospital.

Ina Claire was a member of the Elizabeth Women’s Club and the First Evangelical Free Church in White Oak, PA. She loved to golf and was a former member of the Youghiogheny Country Club. Ina also loved dancing, oil painting (especially nature scenes and animals!) with her friends at Kountry Kreations in Finleyville PA, playing the Piano for residents at Celebration Villa and spending time at the family cabin.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry W. “Buzz” Lloyd in 2009 and both of her brothers, James and Raymond Dagger. Ina Claire is survived by her three children, daughters, Deborah (David) Shipp and Denise (James) Christofel, both of Jefferson Hills, son, Scott (Jackie) Lloyd of Aurora, Colorado; six grandchildren, Jennifer (Samuel) Gallaher of Jefferson Hills, Robert (Lindsey) Shipp of West Newton, PA, Bryan (Tawnya) Shipp of Scottdale, PA, Erica Lloyd of Atlanta, GA, Michelle and Matthew Lloyd of Aurora, CO and nine great grandchildren, Abby, Emily and Lilly Gallaher, David “DJ”, Blake and Charleigh Shipp, Danica and Bella Shipp and Axel Lloyd.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, from 3 – 8 pm in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania 15025 (412-384-0350) www.stephendslater.com. Her funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, Notice of the time will be posted later. Her burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Elizabeth Township. PA
