JUNE (MULARSKI) BENDIK
Hedwig “June” Bendik, age 96, died on Saturday, October 7, 2017. June was born in Glassport, Pennsylvania on November 23, 1920 one of eight children of John and Louise (Zakzewski) Mularski.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael J. Bendik (dod: December 15, 2006); her son, James Bendik (dod: December 12, 2002) and all seven of her siblings, Zygmunt, Ralph and Andrew Mularski, Sister Mary Benedict, Sister Mary Scholastica, Sister Mary Florian and Cecilia Gniefkowski.
June is survived by two children, son, Carl M. Bendik of Marathon, Florida and daughter, Marlene (Carl) Abrasheff of Rostraver Township, Pennsylvania; five grandchildren, Lisa Szuhoza, Carla Abrasheff, Michelle (Brian) Laux, Amy (Scott) Dumas and Ted (Vanessa) Bendik and seven great grandchildren, Jessica, Jenna, Ian, Aaron, Mia, Braden and Jack.
Friends will be received in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home (Large) Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania on Monday October 9, 2017 from 3 – 8 PM. There will be a prayer in the funeral home on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at 9:15 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM in St. Clare of Assisi Parish in Clairton, Pennsylvania. June’s burial will follow in Round Hill Cemetery in Elizabeth, Pennsylvania.
