HILDA  (MORESEA)  WALSH

Hilda Walsh, age 98, died Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at her daughter, Saundra’s home in Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania.  She was born April 28, 1916 in Jefferson Township (now Jefferson Hills) one of eight children of Ackille and Mary (Felin) Moresea.  Hilda was a long time waitress at the former Commodore Restaurant in Elizabeth, Pennsylvania and at the restaurant in the former W. T. Grant in Pleasant Hills, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania  She was a member of the Elizabeth Baptist Church and a Lifetime member of the Floreffe Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary in Jefferson Hills.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Graham Walsh in 1974; son, Eugene Emerson Walsh in 2010; daughter, Nancy Christine Walsh in 1948; great grandson, Kyle Walsh in 1995 and all of her siblings, sisters, Frances Tortorice, Olga Gosney, Mary Lyons and brothers, Lindo, George “Chuck”, John and Joseph “Bussy” Moresea.

Hilda is survived by her daughter, Saundra Mortle, with whom she resided; two grandchildren, Dean (Roxanne) Walsh and Kimberly (Stephen) Sedor; four great-grandchildren, Stephen II, Amanda and Nicholas Sedor and Logan Walsh and many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 1 - 3 and 6 - 8 PM on Sunday, July 6, 2014 in the  Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home, 1701 Route 51 (Large) in Jefferson Hills, where her funeral service will be held on Monday, July 7, 2014 at 12 Noon with Pastor David L. Myers, of the Elizabeth Baptist Church, officiating.  Burial will follow in Jefferson Memorial Park Cemetery in Pleasant Hills.
