Harvey Meadows
May 19, 1923 — November 19, 2015
Harvey Scott Meadows , 92, of Jefferson Hills, went to be with the Lord on November 19, 2015.
Scott served proudly in World War II as an Army corporal in the 160 th Field Artillery Battalion. He was awarded the Bronze Star and received several commendations for his service in North Africa, Italy and France. After the war, he worked for Dravo Corporation, CECO Steel, and Mendel Steel as a welder until age 74.
Scott is survived by his wife of 67 years, Jane, and his children, Randy (Sharon) Meadows of New Canaan, CT and Lynne (Skip) Struble. He was loved by his four grandchildren, Tracy (Robert) Skeans, Kelly (Michael) Plumb, Scott (Sarah) Meadows and Peter Meadows, and by his five great-grandchildren, Andrew, Lucas, Emma Jane, Colin and Avery.
Friends will be received from 2 - 4 & 6 - 8 PM on Sunday, November 22, 2015 at Stephen Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 (Large) Jefferson Hills, PA 15025. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home at 10 AM on Monday November 23rd. A private interment will be held at Jefferson Memorial Park Cemetery.
